Terms of Use:

This page is a legal contract between AHK, the Author, and Escape to Art (ETA), referred to as Author/ETA, and the users of this site and our services and purchasers of our products, referred to as User.

• Owner: The site is owned by the Author/ETA.

• Copyright: Copyright for the material offered on the website and store is owned by the Author/ETA, and as agreed to by Contributors.

• Our Commitment:
• 1. SALES: The Author/ETA offer our commitment to User to fulfill shipments of products purchased within four weeks of a cleared purchase barring unforeseen circumstances, and promise to make even reimbursement if any unforeseen circumstances arise. Large or complicated purchases may take longer for process and shipment.
• 2. REFUND: The Author/ETA hope you, as User, will appreciate the product/s purchased. However, if you decide to return the product/s, the refund amount will be credited in the manner the purchase was paid and will cover the purchase amount, plus tax collected. We expect to refund the return within four weeks once the package is returned and processed; see next section/ RETURNS.

• Requirements for Using the Store:
• 1. SALES: 
• User is required to make full payment, including applicable tax, shipping & handling, upon purchase of any products. All Sales are in US Dollars unless otherwise noted.
• 2. DAMAGES: 
• Any damages to the package must be addressed by the User to the Carrier.
• 3. RETURNS: 
• Returns are accepted up to two weeks of the shipment arrival date, if postmarked for return within that two-week time period and if the product is in pre-shipped condition. Return shipping is the responsibility of the User. 
• To return: 
• 1- re-package and ship with tracking to: P.O. Box 553, Owego, NY 13827;                                                                               
• 2- email: info@signofthedimes.com informing us of the return request and include “DIMES RETURN” in the Subject Line.  (Return requests not including an email notification may take longer to review and process.)

• Notification Upon Modification of Terms: The Author/ETA have the right to modify the Terms of Use at any time. It is the responsibility of the User to be informed of these terms and modifications. We will not adjust the agreements made with Contributors without mutual consent.

• Termination of Contract: This contract will be terminated for a User in violation of the Terms of Use. The Author/ETA has the right to proceed with legal matters on intellectual property, financial, and other legal matter violations by the User of our material, if needed, with any fees incurred to be the responsibility of the User in violation.

• Disclaimer: The Author/ETA and Contributors do not claim that a User will find dimes, or receive an actual message transmitted from beyond this world. Any expectation as such is the responsibility of the User.

Prospective Contributor Inquiries: 

The Author/ETA will review story/ material sent to us as an inquiry to contribute for possible inclusion in our book projects. The Author/ETA will use the story/ material if a signed, mutual agreement is met with you as a Contributor.  When emailing, include in the subject line the words, "DIMES Inquiry".  

You as a Contributor keep the copyright of your story/ material and give us the right to use the story/ material.  Should you relate any story/ material to us, you agree that: a. your story/ material may have similarities to other story/ material we may choose to use instead, b. sending any story/ material over the internet may be at risk by other parties beyond our control and, c. we, the Author/ETA and Contributors, are not to be held responsible in any manner for use of such similarities or risk.

We will do our best to acknowledge receipt of your email within four weeks.  If we decide to use your story/ material, we will contact you further.  Please realize that it takes time to gather stories and develop a book project so we cannot guarantee a timeframe for use of your story/ material or if we will use the story/ material.  However, please realize that we extend our deepest sympathies if you have experienced loss and know that we care.

Privacy Policy:

We collect, use, and store your personal information as User only so that the transaction can be processed and for retention to fulfill tax and legal requirements.  We have the right to proceed with legal matters on intellectual property, financial, and other legal matter violations by the User of our material, if needed, with any fees incurred to be the responsibility of the User.  We do not sell your information.  Note: European Union residents, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which governs the way businesses process and manage personal data. We will delete all of your data at your request except for that which we are compelled by law to keep and use for tax and/or legal matters.

Intellectual Property:

The book and related content are the intellectual property of the Author/ETA and as agreed to by Contributors.  Please contact the author or Escape to Art with questions, comments, or for permission to re-use any of the materials: info@signofthedimes.com
